Year 9: Homework

Here are a few homework assignments for the first half term to get you started with your BTEC Art & Design course. As you progress through the course, you will be expected to set your own homework tasks, depending on what you need to do next. These tasks are called self directed homeworks and are not an excuse for doing nothing. There is an element of trust involved when allowing you to set your own work, but hopefully you will want to complete the work at home, as you love art so much!! A stars and Distinction stars are earnt by trying your very, very best : )

Week 1: Work on completing your title page 'COLOUR'.


Week 2: Work on completing your double page Mood Board.

Week 3: Work on completing your double page Mind Map.

Week 4: Research information on Colour, the symbolism, hot & cold colours etc. Create an additional page to add to your sketchbook.

Week 5: Research artists that explore colour, collect images (at least 3 pictures) and interesting information, including genre, techniques used, your opinion etc.

Week 6: Research a portrait artist that explore colour, collect images (at least 3 pictures) and interesting information, including genre, techniques used, your opinion etc.

Week 7: Research a collage artists that explore colour, collect images (at least 3 pictures) and interesting information, including genre, techniques used, your opinion etc.
