YOUR NEW ART CHALLENGE MARCH 2022

Your challenge this half term is to visit an art gallery online and to write a review of your visit.

There are links to be found on the https://www.ta-artanddesign.com website, or just search for an art gallery through Google

The art gallery you visit can either be in this country, or you could travel abroad to say New York or Paris!!!
You need to find a piece of artwork that you like, take a screen shot of the artwork, write down the name of the artist and the title of the work.  You are then required to write a paragraph about why you like the artwork. The art can be a print, a painting, a sculpture or a photograph.
Extension task: To create a piece of artwork yourself inspired by the work you have picked.

Good luck art clubbers!!!

Take a look at the following PowerPoint to view our 'Small Worlds' Art Competition prize winners.

Amelie looked at the impressionist artist Claude Monet
for inspiration for her design

Many thanks to the other KS3 students who entered the competition,
well done to you all : )

New Art Competition!!!

Design a room for a famous Artist.

Your challenge this time, is to design and make a room for a famous Artist. You will need to find a shoe box or similar box to build your room. Think about what pictures or photographs would hang on the walls, what kind of chair might the artist sit in? What kind of wallpaper or carpets might they have? You have until Friday the 26th to enter the competition.
Upload photographs to Art Club and then bring in your entries after the Easter holidays. Good luck, Mrs Lynch : )
I am adding in some examples of previous students work to inspire you.

KS3 Art Club

KS3 Art Club

Many thanks to all the KS3 students who entered work in the 'Reflections' Photography Competition. We had some amazing and creative responses to the competition and the judges were very impressed with the quality of the photographic work submitted. It was difficult to choose an overall winner, but we were able to do so, on the strength of the prize winning photographer's unique and original approach to the challenge. Our first prize winner is Sophie Nicholson, who produced an amazing trio of images. Look at the link below to see her winning submission. Our joint 2nd prize Photography winners are Amelia Berriman and Jemimah Jones. Anthony Hewitt is awarded a commendation certificate for his interesting photographs of boats in the harbour.
If you would like to join ART CLUB let Mrs Lynch know and she will add your name.
The new art challenge will be posted on the site this week.
Still haven't joined ART CLUB?
email Mrs Lynch and she will wend you an invitation, the new challenge starts this week!!!
